We met with Peter Bywater from Ridgewater Energy to offer help on some potential solutions on the pressing matter of rented properties meeting Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards. We have covered this topic before through our videos with EPC assessor Craig Bowling (You can view the most recent one here) but this time with the focus on making energy efficiency improvements Peter was the man to help and may be able help you find funding and ways to raise your property standards.

Peter’s top tip –
“When making ‘out of sight’ improvements such as internal wall insulation, room in roof insulation, underfloor insulation –make sure you take and keep date stamped photos at various stages showing the insulation in situ before it is covered over with plasterboard. The energy assessors will want to evidence it along with quotes, invoices or receipts.”
