My career started in 2003 at the bottom of the estate and letting agency ladder and has developed over the last 14 years having set up Christopher Shaw half way through that time. Ive not left the industry in that period and I have seen (and survived) some of the highs and lows of the market during my time in the industry and I consider myself to be extremely knowledgeable in the bournemouth/ poole market place as a result. I'm a very approachable guy and welcome anyone to call on my knowledge at any time.

My role within the business is quite varied but most of my time is dedicated to rent control, business development, marketing and generally managing the business as a whole, that said I have worked and still work each and every part of the business so I welcome enquiries on any department within the business.

Having started my career in retail, and eventually retail management I built a solid core skill based around customer service, this has transitioned into estate agency where I pride myself on being professional, approachable and dedicated to my clients needs, i enjoy making good business relationships and building rapport with my landlords and tenants, offering honest advice on your property.

Now in my 6th year with Christopher Shaw and 9 years in Estate Agency in total, I work with my small but hand picked team to cover all your property needs. I also work very closely with our sales department, advising on buy to let investments, regularly attending sales appointments, often starting a new landlord on their investment journey. If you need any advice on your rental portfolio I am more than happy to help.

My family being in the property world inspired me to start a career in the industry. I have a strong background in Sales and Land as I was a Land/Residential Surveyor for 4 years specializing in new build home developments and residential refurbishments, that combined with recruitment experience within the property and housing sector means that I have hit the ground running and am progressing through the ranks at Christopher Shaw residential.

Is it sad to admit I always wanted to be an Estate Agent? I was chatting to my mum the other day and she kindly reminded me of this fact. I started in Estate Agency in Swindon in the late 90's and have been doing it in ever since. I still absolutely love the feeling of achieving a great price for a vendor or sourcing the perfect home for an applicant.

The industry has changed over the years and I have seen lot's of people come and go, but I have always believed in a service that is based in honesty and respect which seems to have served my clients and I well.

As you will perhaps notice from the name, Amanda is Chris's sister. This brings a nice family business ethic and complete dedication to everything that she does. Her role within the business is Property Manager, and looks after our landlords properties/ portfolios. Amanda coordinates our cutting-edge maintenance reporting software and ensures that our properties and tenancies are compliant, maintained and cared for as if they were our own. Experienced in managing single and multi-property portfolios, Amanda completely tailors the service to the client, involving the client as much or as little as they wish.

Amanda is loved by all clients and is extremely dedicated to the business and takes great pride in being able to help and look after all of our clients and customers.

After working for Christopher Shaw for four years now, starting mainly at front of house to now being Admin Manager, I have seen first hand how much we have really grown as a company. One of the reasons why I joined Christopher Shaw Residential, is because they have such a warm friendly feel to them rather than some of the corporate companies I have been connected with.
